Frankenstein: The Radio Play

Event Navigation

Performed in the tradition of Orson Well’s stunning and frightening radio broadcast of The War Of The Worlds.  We invite you to come and step back in time to the Golden Age of radio, as San José State University’s Theatre Arts Department presents Frankenstein: The Radio Play—adapted and directed by Buddy Butler.  In celebration of the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelly’s chilling and classic novel, this new, scary radio play will be presented in the Hammer 4 Theatre at the Hammer Theatre Center before a live studio audience.  This performance will then be broadcast on KSJS 90.5 FM College Radio on Halloween Night. Come be a part of this terrifying and spooky fun evening, and perhaps your screams will be heard on Halloween Night!
