SJSU Dance Residency: Gallim Dance

Brooklyn-based company Gallim celebrates elemental connections through exploration of the human experience. Under the direction of founder, artistic director, and choreographer Andrea Miller, Gallim’s international success spans the world of performing arts and cultural festivals, including collaborations in film, music, visual arts, and fashion. Over the past decade, the company has performed many renowned venues and festivals including The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Kennedy Center. 

Gallim Studio also acts as a nexus for creativity. Over the past two years, Gallim has expanded the programming at its Clinton Hill studio to include residency space grants for young and emerging artists across disciplines, master classes and open company class, as well as free public talks that delve into life as an artist and other relevant topics. Gallim has obtained recognition from many prestigious foundations including The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and The Office of the Brooklyn Borough President for its Brooklyn studio community programming.

Accessible by BART and VTA (2nd & Paseo De San Antonio exit is in front of the Hammer Theatre)
